Situation

Halifax Bank of Scotland Australia is subject to the Basel II Accord which requires the bank to improve processes associated with risk modelling and capital calculation. Considerable benefits can accrue to banks that comply with Basel II, but compliance is far reaching and a considerable proportion of bank processes are affected.

Solution

BankWest selected Promapp because of it's ease of use and ability to show the big picture with drill down to detail when required. Critical to the success of the Basel II initiative is not only good process definition but also that changed processes are effectively communicated to staff throughout the bank, who will need to change the way they currently do things.

Its dynamic mapping functionality and change toolset means that once the project finishes and processes are handed over to business as usual staff, content can be kept up to date by process owners themselves rather than relying on scarce specialist business analyst resource and web developers.
