Another enjoyable conference for users of Promapp and once again showed me how invaluable Promapp is as a tool regardless of your company size or field. Promapp has made my life so much easier for ISO accreditation as well as being of great benefit in the induction of all staff.

Thanks for the Sydney User Conference on 15 May. Appreciated hearing about the developments for Promapp 4.0 coming later this year, and to meet other members of the Promapp team. Also grateful to Melanie from Warringah Council for sharing the experiences and success strategies.

We at Job Futures enjoyed the Sydney conference yesterday and it's spurred us on to do even better. Great presentation from Melanie too! And we enjoyed the community vibe amongst Promappers.

I'm very excited about the new-look Promapp 4.0! At LINZ, we have complicated processes and procedures for dealing with our Minister's office. All these processes are fully captured in Promapp, enabling other staff (including myself) to locate the most current process when providing back up for this role. These processes change a lot as staff are always finding better ways to do things and improving the processes.

Really loved the Sydney User Conference! I have already used some key messages that I picked up at the conference at a management meeting and have re-boosted the support and 'urgency' to focus on our process improvements. Thanks Ivan & team

At one of the companies I worked at we all agreed that documenting our processes in Promapp was important. However we never seemed to get the time to do this. We solved this by having our process mapping team meet for 2 hours a set day each week. The team would meet briefly and advise what processes they were working on. Then each person would work on mapping processes. The other key component of this is the rest of the business needed to keep this time free and be available to meet with the Promapp team members in case their input was required.

Thoroughly enjoyed the conference in Wellington. Appreciated the opportunity to think more on how we are capturing processes. The key messages to come from the conference were the need to get staff engaged and for them to own their processes.

Promapp user conferences are a great way to meet other users and share ideas. I attended the Wellington session and got huge value from it, thanks Ivan, Richard and Julie.

Thanks for hosting a really good conference. It was interesting to see so many different organisations represented - goes to show how useful and transferable Promapp is. I'm pretty excited about the new version of Promapp - the look and feel looks very swish - I can't wait to have a go!

It was great to meet other process improvement professionals at the conference on Thursday. Richard, Ivan & Julie - thanks for providing a platform to share lessons learned & ideas to improve engagement. Promapp has enabled Blackbay to lay the core process foundations required to drive decision making & improvement. We're looking forward to the new version - it looks great!

Loved the promapp conference - I have been a promapp user (promaster) for three years and this was my first conference. Great to hear similar issues with regard to getting people on board, particularly the big boys. Great forum to figure out new ways to get around the hurdles. Can't wait for the new version it looks fantastic and it will make training very easy - another barrier removed!

Wellington user conference was great, thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to meet other promapp users. It was great to see hear that other people are dealing with the same issues that we are. New version looks great...can't wait!!!

Promapp is proving to be a great productivity gain over using Visio to draw process maps. Can't wait to get this out to our users

I found the Wellington Promapp Conference very good. It was great to meet other people having the same issues and ideas on how to resolve the 'ownership' buy in. I enjoyed meeting other conference attendees. Thanks Promapp staff. I look forward to next year's conference.

In agreement with the others that attended the Sydney Conference. The Case study presented on Waringah Council was very valuable. Looking forward to more opportunities to Network with other Promapp users in the future!

We continue to get such positive responses about the Promapp as we train more and more people. People are always happy to have given us four hours of their time for the training session as they really feel like they have learnt something they can take back to their dayjob that will help them. It's very rewarding. For IM&T I am documenting our revised Project Management methodology as a process too and know this will be valuable to our team as we train everyone in the methodology next week. So fantastic to have a central place to go to for all the activities, tasks and associated templates. Love it!

"Wanganui District Council has been working through a Continuous Improvement Framework to enable us to operate more effectively and efficiently.  Promapp has enabled us to document our existing processes quickly and easily and has given us the tools to improve those processes."

Thanks Promapp for hosting the conference yesterday, it was great to meet up with other Promapp customers. I'm thankful for the opportunity to share Nelson City Council's experiences and learnings, and so grateful for the positive feedback Frith & I have received. Adding to the choc biscuit theme, we have a stock of little Fredo bars, and we hand them out post-session to staff we've worked with to thank them for a great job, and to show appreciation for their input to & participation in process management

It was great to attend the Auckland conference and share experiences. The common theme seemed to be getting staff engagement and it was encouraging to know we are not alone on this. We are relatively new to Promapp but are enjoying it's simplicity and are excited about using it to it's full potential,

  23. Susan Toogood:

I love the simplicity of Promapp. Our people have picked up the concepts and some have really taken to it. Still working on some teams but once the whole organisation has mapped their processes I believe we will have the foundation blocks to truly improve our business.

If you're a Promapp user do attend user conferences. I met some very good users at the recent Auckland conference and the sharing of information and stories is invaluable.

One of our team leaders put our promapp documenting to the test when they printed a process and used it to perform a lengthy task when the usual person was away. This was a huge success

Initally when setting up Promapp all our process owners were the process group champions. Having branches still gave us that "Head Office" push down approach but now we are spreading the owner and or expert process responsilbilities around we are obtaining more "buy in" and involvement from all areas.

  27. Kaye Clark:
    May 09, 2012 at 04:40 PM

"Culture" change starts at the top and having a governance structure with the MD as the chief process officer and the executives as process group champions who meet monthly; the company's commitment to capturing processes and to continuous improvement is reinforced, coupled with the ability to load the minutes of these meetings for all to see on their dashboards. It is also beneficial each month to invite a couple of other staff members to participate - this is not an "exec" meeting but a companywide business practice where everyone's input is welcome.

As part or our MAF accreditation a documented process is required along with internal audits. We captured the process in Promapp with all the associated registers, documents and links to the regulations. We then set up our schedule of MAF audits in the Risk module attaching the results. We sent the process via mini mode link to MAF who provided feedback, they are now confident in our process and as a result our external MAF audits have been reduced.

Thanks to the Promapp team for a great conference in Auckland yesterday½ Thanks too for the opportunity to talk about our experience using Promapp to enable process-based quality management at Nelson City Council. The use of Promapp as an enabler in our quality management programme has allowed us to make "the way we do things" and development and reporting on goals part of our lives and service to our customers.
