Process management supports transition to new system.
Summerset Group, New Zealand’s fastest growing retirement village and care operator, has announced they will use Nintex Promapp’s cloud-based business process management (BPM) software to document payroll processes for its new in-house HR and payroll system, TechnologyOne.
This will ensure the successful in-house transition of data migration from an incumbent, semi-outsourced payroll provider to TechnologyOne.
Nintex Promapp will also support ongoing process improvement surrounding the software’s utilization to ensure maximum benefit for more than 1,300 staff.
As Patrick Crawford, HR Delivery Manager, Summerset Group Holdings, explains, ‘We required a solution to strengthen our payroll replacement project.
'Previously, we had limited payroll practice documentation and needed to put in place a serious level of governance commensurate with the investment in time and resources to ensure a successful roll out of the TechnologyOne HR and payroll solution.'
‘We reviewed traditional Microsoft tools including Visio, but concluded that Nintex Promapp would provide us with the consistency and ease of use required to enable the capture and everyday use of accurate and up-to-date processes.’
Among the processes involved in the payroll and HR software transition are those capturing the specific steps in payroll processing, employee and organization structure management, file transfers, tax returns, and general ledger postings some of which were previously handled by the external payroll provider.
‘As a business, we are committed to good governance. Nintex Promapp supports this by providing us with a unique way of mapping, sharing and reviewing business processes more consistently during this time of rapid growth,’ says Crawford.
Nintex Promapp’s SharePoint functionality will also support the creation of a painless payroll process and one that will support high volume transaction processes, including accounts payable, reconciliations, and leave applications.
