Northern Grampians Shire Council gets lean.
Northern Grampians Shire Council (NGSC) has announced they will use Nintex Promapp’s cloud-based business process management (BPM) software to facilitate the reviewing of processes to find efficiencies and to better meet customer expectations.
The decision to deploy Nintex Promapp in support of lean process management followed a comprehensive market review. NGSC was attracted to Nintex Promapp for several reasons including the fact that it is cloud-based which enables staff to access, manage and update processes wherever they are located within the council’s geography.
In addition, Nintex Promapp enables council directors to track efficiencies, and senior staff to calculate dollar costs against process improvement. Finally, NGSC concluded that all staff, no matter their experience or role, would find the graphical user interface intuitive and easy to use.
To date, NGSC has identified around 1,000 processes which it will map and store centrally in Nintex Promapp. More than 300 processes have already gone live, some of which are supporting the onboarding and training of new employees, enabling a process improvement culture to rapidly take hold.
NGSC will also have access to Nintex Promapp’s Local Government Shared Process Library which consists of more than 1,300 council processes, ranging from liquor licensing to environmental policies.
This allows the organization to share its knowledge and experience with other councils. It will also gain comprehensive insights into how other councils around Australia operate and manage their own processes, performance and customer service.
Northern Grampians Shire Council has more than 11,500 people who call the district home, and around 200 staff work across the council’s seven physical locations.
